Gramin Dak Sevaks are posted at post offices located in rural areas to provide postal services for customers in that region.The job profile include post office operations, mail delivery, mail carriage & other related postal activities.

Who are Eligible?
To apply for AP Postal Circle Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2017, one has to satisfy the following eligibility conditions.
Age: Candidates age should be 18 – 40 years as on April 19, 2017 (max relaxed by up to 5 years for SC/ ST candidates, 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for PH category)
Education: Candidates should pass 10th standard from approved state boards by the respective State Govt. / Central Govt.
Computer knowledge: The applicant should posses computer knowledge & will be required to furnish basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute.
Selection Process:
The selections for gramin dak sevak posts would be done purely based on merit.For this purpose, only the marks obtained in std.X will be taken up for finalizing the merit list.
There is no weightage for possessing any higher qualification such as std.XII or marks scored in degree.
Shortlisted candidates will get an SMS that would be followed by document verification before awarding final appointment.
Registration & Application
Male applicants belonging to General & OBC category must pay Rs.100 at any head post office by informing the registration number at the post officer counter.
There is no fee for all Females (all categories) & SC/ ST candidates.
Interested individuals will need to register their details online through the websites –‘https://indiapost.gov.in’ or ‘https://appost.in/gdsonline’ before April 19, 2017.
